December Eve...
I don't feel like posting much, so I guess I won't. It's been an OK weekend. I refused to be part of the shopping stampede. I'd rather go when it's not crowded, plus, I rarely shop in my own city, as the shopping stinks.
Both Mr. Hype and I have been a bit ill all weekend, sore throats, ear aches, and for me stomach pains, so all we did was some decorating... lights up, outdoor decorating, and finishing up indoors. The in-laws were here for a few hours this afternoon. They brought Thanksgiving leftovers, which were good, but now my tummy hurts again. :-(
I did more Christmas cards, but a good share of my addys are still in my electronic Rolodex, w/dead batteries, and the memory is no doubt gone, so I'm a little screwed there. Nothing like good 'ol paper card files!
One thing that did make my day (and Mr. Hype, and the in-laws), was watching the Rams/Viks game. ::snicker snicker snicker:: I think all of us were laughing pretty damned hard thru a good share of the game. So, no excuses Byrdy and Flemmy! That was a travesty! Even the announcers were talking about what a humiliation that was! Yeah, we sucked against the Lions, but DAMN! Not THAT BAD! And the Viks won against the Lions, by a fluke, but we sure didn't get quite so trounced (<--I wanted to use that word today!) by the Rams as the Vikings did! So, Vikings fans, just be a bit humble and SUCK IT UP! 'AIGHT!???

a fun little quiz I found...
You are Form 2, Angel: The Pure.
"And The Angel rose as holy protector for all that was created. She fought with honor and valor to serve the good of the world. But the coming of the mankind was her downfall; and end to purity."
Some examples of the Angel Form are Michael (Christian) and Hercules (Greek).
The Angel is associated with the concept of virtue, the number 2, and the element of wind.
Her sign is the zenith sun.
As a member of Form 2, you are a person of your word. You generally keep your promises and give everything you do your best. Although some people see you as overbearing sometimes, you know that you have to stay true to yourself and do what's right. Angels are the best friends to have because they are brutally honest.
Which Mythological Form Are You? brought to you by Quizilla
This one is nice because you can give more than one answer to the questions...

Silly Kids Games
I watched yesterday's Packer game. I haven't bothered to watch them this year until yesterday, but yesterday was all about football at the in-laws, so I watched. I see now that I'm lucky I haven't been watching. It was really pathetic. I think one of the most heinous things I saw was Robert Ferguson jump to catch a pass approximately 2 minutes early... ugh! They aren't too good... Doesn't even look like they're trying!
About the Mr. Hype Curse. About 10 years ago, it was noticed that whenever Mr. Hype watched a game, they lost, or did badly. When he didn't they won. Seriously. We'd be at Packer parties, and people would make him go into the kitchen if the Packers were doing badly and then the game would turn... Unbelievable. After a point, he taped all the Packer games and watched them after so as not to curse them and then the Packers did great! He did this for 2 years! Yesterday was no exception. As soon as my mo-in-law asked Mr. Hype to go into the kitchen and carve the turkey, the Packers scored and it was the only time they were up the whole game. Of course he started watching again after, and, well, we all know the result. So, it might just be all HIS FAULT!!!!
Re: the Viks. I put this on Byrdy's blog, but I'll say it again here. I wouldn't bother, except several people I know seem to think the Viks are so wunnerful... They have NO NFL titles! NO Super Bowl wins! And Flemmy says "Who cares if they ever won a Super Bowl?" ! Isn't that the GOAL each year? doh! Flemmy, come on!!! Mr. Hype also told me of a game in the playoffs a few years back where they choked something like 62-0! That's NASTY! And this year, after the Viks lose to the Rams (Unless by some fluky act of God they win...), the Packers are still only one game behind the Viks... Hey everyone?! THE VIKINGS JUST AREN'T THAT GREAT, Y'ALL!!! I can see the point if your Packer dissing, etc. was backed by the fact that the Vikings are GOOD, but it ISN'T!! And Randy Moss... What great character... Trys to run down a cop who pulled him over... "Gee I'm sorry", and community service is all the loser got! ugh! I'm certainly not saying that Packer players are tributes to great character. I don't think any professional sports players really are. If you've been around enough of them, it's obvious, they think they own the world. Two experiences that come to mind: Back when I lived in GB, one particular Packer player used to hit on me when my friends and I were out at a particular dance club. (He wasn't very good, BTW!). But obnoxious! He'd hit on me even when I was with Mr. Hype, (who was Fiancee Hype at the time)... He even said "Take him home and leave w/me instead" (!) That takes nerve. The guy walks in wearing enough bling to blind the place and he didn't even have a contract! What do they pay these dudes just to show up for training camp, etc.? I walked off (not far) w/his Rolex one time and he got worried then! lmao! :D Also, years prior to that, in college, I worked pizza delivery (for 2 days before I decided it sucked), and I had to deliver to this Packer player and he lived in an apt. complex. This was when if the pizza wasn't delivered in 30 min., you got $3 off. Well, I was there on time, I just couldn't find the damned entrance to this place!!! I finally do, and I get to his apt., just a couple mins. late and he says "It's more than 30 min., I get $3 off right!!" Yeah, sure... you're so damned poor I know you NEED that $3... *sigh....
Enough of that... I got up this morning and everything is back to usual. Kuroneko was stuffed in the basement being punished for drinking out of my bonzai (sp) plant again, and Zeros was wandering around whining... Today Mr. Hype is steaming the basement carpet where it flooded a few weeks ago. My mother is coming down this aft. and we're going to do some decorating outside w/pine branches and such. Tomorrow the outdoor lights go up.
We had so much FOOD yesterday! I've never seen that huge a variety on T-Giving before... I didn't pig out really, but last night I decided I wanted some lemon meringue pie and I have a stomach ache this morning... One of Todd's cousins and his wife brought their little almost 2 yr old son. He was adorable! However... when they put him down for a nap! OMFG! I guess I've never heard a tantrum quite like that! He screamed forever and kicked the crib hard enough to shake the floor and everyone in the other room watching TV could hear it! The Jaklynator has tantrums, but not like that! (Yet, anyway!)
Also, I took Flemmy's "What movie rating is your life" quiz on Peachy's site. I ended up w/NC-17! How in the world!!!? I've never had a more sedate life... and I mean my life is mellow and relaxed, etc. I have NO clue how I ended up w/that w/the answers I gave, but maybe it's just the way the quiz was written... I also think that "Tomatoes want my body" according to his vegetable quiz! ::snicker:: That dude cracks me up!!

Re-Title: HAPPY "OPPRESSION OF AN INDIGENOUS PEOPLES" DAY!
I was just thinking about T-Giving, and recalled my deceased best friend, (He died several years ago in a car accident... Some of you may remember him online as "Mario"... An absolutely stellar human being...), and how he referred to Thanksgiving as "Oppression of an Indigenous Peoples" Day! I always got a big kick out of that! Wow... I miss that guy :-(
Now... Off to mother's to make cutout cookies... IN GREEN BAY! You know, where BRETT FAVRE hangs! I don't wanna be hearing anymore Packer bashing, or I shall viciously bash the Vikings on the appropriate web sites! >-/

Thought I'd post that early... or I'll probably forget about it... Hope all of you in school bring back a week's worth of turkey, ham, haggis, or whatever you have for T-Giving... Haggis sandwiches all around! Woohoo!!!

Fly From Heaven
Good Morning Boys and Girls! Issues with the bank today. I got a call from them just a little while ago saying the #s on our checks are wrong... just one #. Well I looked at our old ones and our new ones, and they are ALL different... (You know, the routing # and the account #, etc.) The problem (?!) I figured out with the woman at the bank, is not that the #s are wrong, but that they are now CORRECT! The old ones had the completely wrong routing # on them. They've been that way for YEARS! And now it's correct. Even our account # was wrong, to an extent, and now it's mostly correct, save for a rather irrelevant #. And now other banks are having trouble dealing w/our checks because apparently the info is correct?! Please someone help me understand THAT SNAFU!? She's going to call me back after trying to figure out what the problem is, unless other institutions are used to our incorrect checks and are just settled in w/those numbers? Hell, I have NO CLUE how that crap works! But we just got a batch of new checks, and one way or another, I bet we end up getting new ones... And then the woman at the bank says "You're the one with the vultures on your checks aren't you?" (The check design I wanted, which is what we usually have, is 4 different anatatomical structures w/#'s pointing to everything and the answers on the back... Useful if you're in an anatomy class... I mean, the whole muscle system, circulatory, head, bones, etc.) They were out, so we have a four design pack in which one is sort of a view of you looking down at yourself if you were being eaten by vultures or something :P And others are dancing skeletons, The Scream, and skulls. Previously I had a fine art package that had Michelangelo, Monet, etc. They have cool checks. Anyhoo... I called Mr. Hype and told him to tear up the checks he was going to give to some people today and use the ATM and give them cash. ::snicker:: I'm listening to Toad the Wet Sprocket "Something's Always Wrong" right now. I am soooo in the mood to listen to this CD... It's pretty old... I love it... It's called Dulcinea... It's really great and fun to sing with... In my case only when no one can hear... ;)
Last night I fell asleep around 11 or 12 and woke up at 2:30 and was up until 7:00 (I watched Yu-Gi-Oh at 6:30, that's how I know... My giant kid of a husband records it every morning!) If you've ever watched it, it's a riot... It should be titled "Diary of a Boy with Multiple Personality Disorder"... Hubby had it on one time and I was laughing my ass off... Yugi's friends say things such as "Gee, Yugi seems different at times..." Hmmm... he becomes least a foot taller, thinner, his clothes change, his voice gets way lower, and for God's sake his tennis shoes change to boots in an instant... "Ya think?!" I think I could write a cartoon or anime w/marketing possibilities... (The marketing sometimes comes first, then you write the story! " Money Money Money!", as the Jaklynator would say!) Anyhoo, I digress... So, in the midst of my circadian rhythm issues, I decided to bring some of my indoor fall decorations to the basement and bring up a few Christmassy things... just like flowers, etc. As I opened the basement door, the boyz tried to scoot thru to the upstairs. We leave them in the basement at night and anytime we can't watch them w/squirtgun in hand. They're only allowed on the finished side... It's not like they're stuck in a cellar. Anyhoo, I had shoes on, and I accidentally stepped on little Kuroneko's paw!!! He ran away from me and wouldn't come near me and I felt so bad! He was limping around... :-( I finally caught up w/him and picked him up and he started purring right away, so he got over it quickly, but he was still limping, and I was worried. Mr. Hype got up a couple hrs. l8r for work and Kuroneko went spazzing up the stairs as usual, his paw just fine... Thankfully. I felt so bad... I wonder if he'll have "blue loafer phobia" (loafophobia?) from that incident... Poor little boy!
A call from the bank! They'll deal w/our messed up checks until we can get our new ones in 2 weeks... Good enough... And we don't have to pay for re-prints.
I was just reading about John A. Moh'd being sentenced (although not formally yet) to death... oooh... what a SURPRISE, huh? Which reminds me of something amusing from when I went to college. I went to school with a LOT of Muslims, and a large amount of them were in my major/minor, so I had lots of classes with them. Most were from Malaysia. (Note: They were NOTHING like these fundamentalist middle eastern lunatics you hear about all the time... They were really cool people...) Anyway, on class rosters, everything was last name, first name, and one of my econ profs, who I had many classes with... (I remember he was really cute and about 30 at the time...), he says "Why are all these people named Moh'd?" And he pronounced it MODE thinking that all their last names were MODE... I cracked up and explained that was the abbreviation for Mohammed or Muhammad... "OH! I see!" lol! It was pretty funny...
So, everyone have a wiggy day!! Another NOTE: NO ONE should eat fake cheese! It can't be good for you! It doesn't taste good! You say Brett Favre pees in it! Need I say more?!

Dime Western
It snowed last night! Woohoo!!! Not a lot, but there is some on the ground and a few flurries. It sure beats all the rain we've had. Maybe our backyard lake will freeze up.
I decided to get the whole Christmas thang going early this year. I've found one box of X-mas decorations... wreathes and that sort of thing. I want to get that stuff up on Friday. Hopefully Mr. Hype will put up the lights outside. We have those boring icicle lights that everyone has. I think I like those swag lights better, but I don't want to spend the money on it. Some people around here have their entire houses decorated and lit up already... Some even have their Christmas trees up in their houses! That's a bit early. I can see doing the lights early, as it's warmer out, but I wouldn't light them until at least after Thanksgiving. I also tried to start addressing my Christmas cards today. I realized that I am missing a lot of addys, and a lot are in my electronic rolodex, which has dead batteries and probably lost all the info by now... >:/ So now I have to run around asking everyone for addys... ugh... I also found 2 Christmas CDs... I thought we had more... I found my fav, which is a Mannheim Steamroller CD. I love them... I had a lot of their stuff, but I think it's on vinyl! How archaic! I REALLY don't want to be stuck doing a lot of last minute anything for Christmas... cards, shopping, decorating, etc... We don't have room for a tree... I used to just put our decorations on this imitation ficus tree we have, but it looks goofy I think. I'll just skip that this year. This weekend we can finally remove this scarecrow we had up outside for fall. I like it and everything, but it always looks like someone's staring in the window when you get a glimpse of it from inside.
Wed, I may go to my mom's and help bake cookies for Thanksgiving... Something to do anyway. I was talking to Bluey on the phone today, and she was telling me about deep fried turkey. Now that is SOOO new to me! I guess you stick a whole turkey in a deep fryer 10 minutes/pound... Kentucky Fried Turkey? I don't know... sounds... odd to me, I guess. I suppose a lot of people would like it... I don't know that I would...
It's only 1:00 and I'm burning out already. I've been forcing myself to eat during the day so I don't get migraines. I had a lovely bowl of Rice Krispies a little while ago. Eating Rice Krispies isn't all that different from eating... air... I guess.
I haven't even glanced at the news, so I have no commentary regarding anything interesting at all for now...

OK... Had to post this...
I had to post this little blurb... I also mentioned it on Phlegmy's blog. So, I'm talking w/Mr. Hype about his grocery shopping this morning. He went shopping while I was still asleep. He saw this other dude who had a grocery list sticking out of his pocket and he could read it and his list said "FOOD"! ROTFLMMFAO AGAIN AND AGAIN! Who the flock needs a list that says "FOOD" on it?! If I had seen it, I'm sure I would have gone hysterical and said something to the guy... :D

Running on Faith
Well, I'm back to my low dose of Provigil, and needless to say, I am horribly fatigued... I'm stuck at this dose for a month... *sigh... I guess it's better than going insane from switching to the high dose too quickly... (hmm... sane and exhausted... psycho and awake? Hard to choose!) Also, I decided to force myself to eat during the day, as w/my med, I never get hungry until night, and then I get a migraine if I wait all day to eat, and nausea. It's working so far... no migraine yet today! Woohoo!!!
I just finished putting up the shelf and sconces that I won on e-bay from my sister. I used a level, but it looks crooked to me... It's also a bit high, but I'm stuck w/it as now there are two big hockin' holes in the wall where the nails went.
I saw this link on cnn.com... I got a kick out of it... (At least Lil Sis will like it!)
Nothing on TV tonight as usual. However, Tony Blair will be on the Simpsons! (Gaz must be so proud!) I can't say there are any sit coms on these days that I like. I remember one a few years ago that Mr. Hype and I loved called "Titus". It didn't last long, but we just went hysterical at that show. Stacey Keach was a riot...
I'm also fuming because I took out my frozen eggrolls, and one of them wasn't enclosed in the plastic package so I had to throw it out. What a waste!
Tomorrow I think I'm going to start Christmas cards. I figure if I get them done now, I'm less likely to be on the Scroogeish side come crunch time. Also, we're going to the in-laws for Thanksgiving. We need to get there at pre-game time... *sigh... And then of course, my non-hummus serving sister's for Christmas... (I almost wrote haggis... that would be REALLY sick!)
I'm not in the habit of promoing any businesses or anything, however I came across this amazing deal from MCI... $50/mo.---all your long distance calls, local, local toll, caller ID, call waiting, voice mail, and I think even 3-way calling... Since I've been paying about double that, it's a real find for me!
And an odd thing that keeps happening to my desktop... Every couple days, sometimes more often, a word doc. pops up on my desktop. It's titled "~", and there doesn't seem to be anything in it. I delete it, it comes back, every time. Does anyone have a clue as to what this IS? I want to get rid of it for good!
Have a spiffy Sunday evening!

Sick of This and That
What a dreary day... Raining all day... The Packers won I guess. As usual I didn't watch... And for Byrdy, the Packers are only one game behind the Vikings and if the Vikings lose today they tie! :P
I finally did my spot cleaning of the carpets. Now we have to hopscotch around the house to avoid the powder spots that have to sit there for 24 hrs.
My kitties were bad again last night. Around midnight or one I heard a big thump and I went to the back hall and they were in the process of opening the garbage can to get out chicken remnants. They were wrapped in plastic too, but they still smelled them, so I had to put that garbage bag outside the door until morning.
Mr. Hype is in the basement playing Super Techmo Bowl... The original on the original (antique?) Nintendo that we have. He and another guy he works with say the original Techmo Bowl and Techmo Super Bowl are the best video games ever made... Maybe they're just nostalgic or something...
Is it possible for a post to be as disjointed as this?
I feel like a complete slug, so I'm just going to go take a nap now...

Being a person who is rather a stickler when it comes to psychology, I don't like seeing ridiculous results on these quizzes... Yesterday thru today I did just about nothing but sleep... Today, I stay awake! (I know, none of this is noteworthy, but it's my blog and if I want it to be lame it will be lame!) Seems like everyone is watching Big 10 football. Tomorrow and Thanksgiving day are Packer games. I'm mildly disinterested in them this year. I used to follow them and watch the games, but it's different when you're at a Packer Party watching... If I'm hanging out at home, Mr. Hype watches and updates me when necessary. I also can get into the games much more when I'm THERE. It requires more than a sorta pathetic team to keep my interest on the TV. It isn't as if I don't like sports. I used to be a huge Bucks fan. We went to tons of games, playoffs (Yeah... lonnnng time ago!) I knew who all the players in the league were, who they played for, what they did, etc. When the Bucks started to suck, I lost all interest. Fair weather fan, I guess.
I still haven't figured out who "lil Hype" is. No one admits to the name... Speaking of "Lil's". I noticed on my recent "enlarge your penis" spams, that they now refer to it as "Lil Bro". "Enlarge your Lil Bro"! lol! So, does "Lil Flemmy" mean...? ;P

The ULTIMATE personality test brought to you by Quizilla
So I took this Personality Quiz on Peachy's site. I have to say, some of the result makes sense, however, I am not a liar, EVER, nor am I compulsively seeking attention, or particularly insecure, blah blah... HEY! I think I managed to stick the html thang in here right! However I think there are several links to the same quiz... oh well big deal, it's my first try with this... :D
L8r, Mr. Hype is going out to buy some champagne. I have become a bit particular when it comes to champagne. My current fav is Henriot Brut Milesme 1995. I had to order that online as our city doesn't have much as far as places to buy good wine. I think there might be one, but I've never been there. Last time we had champagne, a few weeks ago, we ran out of that, so Mr. Hype went to the store and picked up a really good French Brut... can't remember what it was called actually, or the year... I want him to buy that one again. He also picked up this travesty called "Cooks"... bleah!!! It fizzed like soap and tasted about the same... What do you expect for $6 I suppose?? NEVER AGAIN! I told this to Lil Sis, and she said her and her hubby LIKE that stuff! And they have quite good taste in wine, etc., so I was a bit surprised...
I still haven't gotten to cleaning the walls or the carpet. Obviously procrastinating on those things makes sense...
I'm listening to The Screaming Trees "Sweet Oblivion". It certainly isn't recent... (80's?), but it is excellent. I have thrown around the idea of getting that White Stripes CD that is out. I wonder how the whole CD is... if anyone knows... lemme know!
I actually started this around 11:30 or something and just got finished now due to phone calls and other such things...

Twisted Nerve
Life is good again! It's amazing what a good nap can do. I plan another one after I'm done w/this!
I just re-read the kat fud bag and realized that now I'm underfeeding the boyz a bit... since they weigh more than when I last checked the bag, they get more food. I'm going to feed them 3 times a day now... They aren't that far away from what we were feeding them before. Obviously they were really hungry because this time they ripped BIG holes in the kat fud bag. I don't know how the hell they got way up on that shelf to do it either. I have remedied future food bag ripping by putting the rest of it in a big tupperware...
I was in the car yesterday listening to Squizz (If you have XM you know what it is), and heard "Sober" by Tool. I haven't heard that in a long time. It made me remember how much I like Tool, although I have none of their cds. If I recall, eons ago Nessa saw them... I think. Today's title is a Damned song. I adore the Damned! Also, NDC sent me an e-mail telling me to d/l some DePhazz and check it out. I've never heard of them, but I'll give it a try!
I was talking to Lil Sis (My rapping sister ::snicker::) and she told me about how she was wrapping (rapping?) Christmas presents for her nieces as they have to take them over there over Thanksgiving, and one of them was a Baby Einstein dvd. The Jaklynator picked it up and opened it (I'm surprised she didn't yell "MINE!"), and yelled "EINSTEEN!" That's how she pronounces it... She's so cute. She's 18 months and one of the funniest things she did, is pick up a Baron's magazine, and run around yelling "MONEY MONEY MONEY!" over and over! How cute is that! Maybe she's got investment banking in her blood.
So... I've been trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. I always come up with the same answer: I want to be one of those people who does cartoon voices! I'm pretty good at it too! My fav is the Chinese dude on Courage the Cowardly Dog. (Outta the way! You foo'!) Some damn funny lines come from that character... my fav: "Better than you in every way! Better than you in every OTHER way!" I love that! :D I'm pretty easily amused...
Well, I suppose I'll crash for a little bit again, maybe... or pay bills... Which would YOU do?

Ice Cream Has Seeds
I decided that today will be spent in a completely non-productive way. (OK, MORE non-productive than usual.) Yesterday afternoon/evening/night, I had a horrifying reaction to the increased dose of my "med to stay awake"... (I should just call it what it is: Provigil... It's normally used for narcolepsy. The military uses it to keep their pilots awake for days, and whatnot, and I can see that it could do that if you took it more than once a day!) Anyhoo, the low dose didn't seem all that effective, so my doc said to go up 100-200mg... I went up 200mg and after 3 days or so... ACK! I never hooked my brain up to a car battery, but I would guess it's about the same feeling... But then instead of adding feeling euphoric to it, (like amphetamines, etc.), add major dysphoria and severe depression... It was A NIGHTMARE I TELL YOU!!! A NIIIIIIIIIGHTMARRRRRE! The whole thing only lasted a couple hours, but it was nasty. I called my dr and he said to stop taking it completely until the side effects were completely gone, and then start back at the low dose. (Oh I forgot to mention the nausea and migraines too... bonus side effects! woohoo!!) And this morning... all the side effects are gone. He said it might only take over night. Anyway, I'm still skipping it today and maybe tomorrow too. I think I just cranked the dose too high too fast. I wish I didn't need to take this crap at all, however w/the Chronic Fatigue, I need it to stay awake during the day... blah blah blah ... more l8r... my brain is sore!

Well, I feel much better now! Looks like I have to reduce my dose of the "stay awake" medicine... I've been getting really agitated... dare I say manic? And bummed out... This is one of those super rapid cycling days for those who know what that is... and I haven't had ANY cycling days for a few years, so it's a little disconcerting. (It has nothing to do with a bike, BTW!)
I am mulling over the idea of eating this Lean Cuisine thang I nuked up. All the southwestern style entrees are usually quite bad. Unfortunately I didn't go grocery shopping today, so I don't have a huge selection for dinner. I did have some left over minute rice. I love that stuff!!! For Phlegmy, Byrdy, Nessa, the students: I know you all have issues with getting decent food. I just want to tell you what our roommate used to do... You'll feel like you eat well! Mr. Hype and I had a roommate, one of his friends, years ago. He would get his paycheck and spend it all out partying... and for a WEEK at a time, he would alternate: rice w/ketchup on it one day, rice w/mustard on it the next, rice w/ketchup, rice w/mustard, etc. etc. No joke. Now that is BAD! Worse than Helper, Rammen, Shmersal, or globs of Bisquick mixed w/water cooked in a frying pan... (yeah I did that... after all, cigarettes came first!) So, now you know how much better you eat than some people! What's pathetic is that this guy was working full time... still never saved $ for food! We had a little fridge in our bedroom, and we'd hide the good food there so he wouldn't leach all our food ;D
My cats have been bad. They don't seem to like the idea that their food is being restricted. Apparently they're a little overweight... they actually look thin, but the vet says so. They're only 6 months! Today they got onto a high shelf and started trying to get into the catfood bag. It's a bit torn up and has holes in it, but it survived and they didn't get anything out of it. I put a bunch of huge containers up there so they can't get up there again. I'd be really mad, as they're really troublemakers... one of them in particular... always in my bonzai, always taking things off my bathroom counter... (finding my eyeliner on the living room floor, etc.), but they're so damn cute! They're sooooo lucky they're cute! Well, I'm out for now... gotta go eat that poor excuse for a dinner!

Serotonin Slump?
I just got back from my friend Gloria's house. It's the first time I've been there... GORGEOUS! Two acres w/a river in the backyard, and woods, etc. The house is gorgeous. Decorated with a lot of things from Japan. I love Japanese decor. I'd like to do that w/my home eventually. Unfortunately my house is the size of most people's walk in closets... I truly hate it. I wonder if we can even ever sell this travesty as the vinyl siding is deep dark brown. Who knew anyone even MADE siding that ugly!
Anyhoo... this is just a short post... I'm in a shit mood and I'm going to go work out.
Special thanks to Namedotcom for giving me the three newest links I posted :D

Special Thanks :D
Thank you Nessa for doing the template thang for me! It's great! I just don't know where that perfume ad came from and how to get rid of it!
A note... thanks to NDC for reminding me that "Breathe" was a Prodigy song... (I have that CD!)

Halo of Ashes
G'day all! Well, against my better judgment, I decided to look at cnn.com. I used to be a news junkie... news mags cover to cover, 24/7 news on tv, etc etc... I decided to boycott all of it somewhere in the middle of the Iraq war and switched to almost strictly cartoons and decorating shows... My brain needed a break... and now it's broke! So anyway, I'm checking out the news and the first thing I see is that Michael Jackson is being arrested on another child molestation charge... *sigh... That guy that guy... He ought just to stay in isolation or something. He certainly doesn't even look remotely human anymore and I think anyone who would allow their children near him is an iffy parent at best. And that scumoftheearthI'dshoothimmyself Scott Peterson is going on trial soon... I don't even want to follow that. HE DID IT HE DID IT!!! (I am the type to show up to jury selection w/an axe...) I used to be a court/law freak as well, but it's too infuriating for me now. However, checking out the court proceedings for the Green River killer may be interesting... Serial killers have been a great hobby of mine as far back as I can remember (and that isn't 2 weeks ago btw...). I have boxes of books, on various killers, cases, and psychology and biology of serial killers... blah blah blah. I think the Green River court proceedings will not be all that interesting as I believe he's pleading everything out, making a full confession, etc., in order to avoid the death penalty.
The holidays... always that issue: "Where are we going for Thanksgiving? What about Christmas?" It seems to be worked out this year. In-laws for Thanksgiving, sister's for Christmas. My mo-in-law was telling Mr. Hype and I that his sister Tam was planning Christmas at her house again this year. Mr. Hype was thrilled... "Oh boy... hummus again..." Yes, she had most the relatives over for a Christmas celebration, (which I didn't attend), and had a veritable feast of pizza delivery and hummus. Apparently, hummus is pretty big w/the downtown Chicago dwellers. And sushi, which I need to try... Mr. Hype's brother and his wife have two little girls (my other nieces) and one is about 3 1/2. Everyone says she has to take me out to the good sushi bars as she loves it, and I've never had any real sushi... Everyone I know who's eaten it loves it.
Which brings me to last nights dinner in a box... Well, the meat was actually dehydrated in a can w/sauce... sort of like Chef Boy R Dee. When it was all baked it didn't taste too bad (maybe because I hadn't eaten all day and it was 7:00pm when we ate). However, I got nauseous and a mega headache shortly after and I SUFFERED!!! (Play a little violin for me :D ) I made minute rice at like midnight and that was good, and then woke up at 3:00am and ate more rice, and didn't get sick, so today's meals will be: minute rice. I don't recommend dinner in a box. There are more preservatives than food in that stuff... it's just wrong.
On another note... It sounds like everyone is taking some rough classes next semester. I, on the other hand, will be taking "Introduction to Humanities", online no less, and that's probably it. That falls into the "crap" category I referred to in another post. Have to take it and the classes I actually need for my major, the tougher ones, aren't offered at this time. At least online I won't have to listen to a prof drone on insufferably for 1-2 hrs. But seeing what all of you are taking, I sort of feel like an academic wimp. ::winces:: I'm still waiting to hear if they're going to require me repeat any of the dropped semester classes... Surely they wouldn't subject me to such cruelness, would they?!
This is a hella long post and it's not even noon... *sigh...
And I still don't know what Maisy is... Arthur, Kaiu (did I spell that right?), etc., yes...
BTW for Phlegmy, the two headed monster on Sesame Street is still there. My sister sees it all the time... Anyone remember The Electric Company? "HEY YOU GUYYYYS!!!...."
Also, a big thanks to Nessa who redid my template again... It's pretty much the same as this but w/things I'm too incompetent to add... links and such... I got some info from Gaz as to how to add links in a post. Perhaps I should try that today...TY!

I won both items on e-bay. That snipe thang is cool!

Breathe
OK, re: my title... someone had a cool song titled "Breathe" a while ago... I want to say Tool, but I can't recall... Onward anyway...
FYI: Snipe is a service where you sign up and they "snipe" the last bid before an item closes on e-bay... so, you give the snipe service your top bid and they enter that bid in the last 5 seconds before the close... That way no one can get in after you! I love it! If anyone e-bays, lemme know and I'll send you the site... if you sign up, I get 3 more free snipes! You get three to start, and then it's a pay service unless others sign up at your referral... Also, there are other ways to get free snipes eventually... like by just not using it for a while, etc. And the pay part isn't expensive... like 5 cents for an item under $25 and from $25 and up, 1%... $5 max on any item, even if it's over $500. So, that's the gist of that...
I had a semi-productive day today... They're getting more productive which is wonderful! I managed to stay awake for the entire day, and that's always a small victory. (Some of you know this, but for those who don't, I might as well just mention that I had Epstein Barr virus and now have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome related to Fibromyalsia...) Kind of a mouthful, I guess, but it has put me out of commission for a long time... 1 1/2 years of doing nearly nothing but resting or sleeping. Thanks to some new medication, I seem to be starting to get things on track... Too bad it's so damn expensive, but I'll pay just about anything to get my life back, so a victory for me and a POX on my health insurance company who won't pay for it! (They are the main part of my personal "Axis of Evil" BTW...)
I actually exercised today! (Or maybe exorcised? ;P ) 1/2 hr. of Jane Fonda aerobics... of course I had to do at least 2 songs the wussy low impact way, but after all I have done NO exercising for 9 years! Yes folks, 9 years... amazing I can even walk as pathetic as that is! Lifted a few weights, etc. It's sad, as 10 yrs ago I actually did 2 hrs of mega high impact aerobics a day plus weights and usually walking as well... (which is a little pathologically excessive I think...) Anyhoo... yet another baby step... (Remember the movie "What About Bob"?) That movie is one of my favs... Speaking of which, I'm wondering if Phlegmy has delved into my movie list yet... >:/
Also, I know almost all of you have registered for next semester classes. Let me know what you took! I'm curious and interested!
Got my checks today. I don't know if that's good or bad really... paid some bills... ACK! GRR! and such...
I lost my train of thought... was on the phone w/Bluey... she's always fun to talk to...
Come to think of it, I never have a train of thought... It's more like a bunch of disjointed cars, isn't it...

Jumping the Gun
It's only a bit after noon and already I'm worried as hell... I talked to UWGB, where they're in the process of dealing w/my app. It's very possible that I might have to retake some of the classes that were in the last semester that I dropped after the drop date. (I dropped because of migraines...) I DO not remember the basics of a lot of Econ! (Sad, since it's my freakin' major!) I also would rather not ever hear the word "widget" again... I would likely have to take Intermediate Macro over again. It normally isn't a rough class, however, when I took it, the guy teaching it was beyond grad level in his teaching style and such! He was an independent consultant and his class was terrifying!! I remember groups of students barging into my Sunday night radio show to try to brainstorm wtf was going on! And I've taken much higher level Econ classes (one that was technically grad level) w/no problem. Oh well, I sure hope he's retired... and in any case, it's a big IF as to whether they'd do that to me. A couple of the other classes that are iffy I really liked. They were in the CJ field. My prof was awesome... one of my all time favs. Unfortunately, he was killed in a car accident many years ago, and I can't imagine taking those classes w/out his wit and sarcasm to help me out! I'm running ahead of the game again... as usual. It's quite likely I won't have to repeat any of it as my prior grades were OK.
Oh, and BTW, NESSA RULES!! She's working on my template for me and I am rather particular about what I want and she's being so sweet about it! (At least her e-mails are nice! Maybe she's swearing her head off as she types them! :P ) When all is said and done, friends blogs will be linked, there should be a tagboard... ummm... I don't even know how that exactly works! Even on other peoples sites!! No one's ever on them when I pop into other sites. Also, I am linking the site of The Lizard Lady. She has some interesting, (and scary) stuff on there. She is a published writer, after all. If you go, check out Pocket Terrorist, and in the Poetry category, (Poetry is labeled in categories something like "awful", etc., and going from there to worse), and when you get to Poetry, check out "Heinous Haiku for Serious Masochists Only". Some very proverbial work there. I have a section at the bottom with my insightful Haiku... I'm the "Haiku Hellion", so it's in that section. You can go check out how insanely talented I am, and then be jealous of my talent. :P
I'm sure I'll add many more links eventually. I want to add pics of my kitters too! And the Jaklynator! The Jaklynator is my 18 mo old angel/demon niece! She's soooo cute!!! She's as close as I'll get to having my own kid... which is good as I can't seeing having my own child and refusing to change a stinky diaper like I do now... Being an Auntie is great... all the good stuff, not too much of the bad... (I get called "fair weather Auntie" a lot...)
On the e-bay front... Someone seems to be starting a bidding war w/me. I'm waiting to talk to my sister so she can give me the "snipe" url again, as I deleted it... Then I can just nail it at the end. E-bay irritates me... When I place a bid and someone outbids me, I'm incensed... I think "How DARE you outbid ME, you little *$@ <---(insert your own condescending obscenity or whatnot )!!!"
Also, soon, a diatribe on Getting a Russian Husband....

Summary: A Mediocre Day
Well, I got the price from Gutterman... not too bad...just a little over $500. I guess I can live with that... I guess I have no CHOICE!
Nessa is going to help me w/my template...Thanks Nessa!
Tonight: McDonalds. I have one circumstance when I can have a burger and fries guilt-free... When I am seriously nauseous, it really is the ONLY thing that settles my stomach! It sounds weird but for me it really works! So, I'm feeling really sick to my stomach again and I get a burger and fries for dinner! Which is far better than this horrid thang Mr. Hype bought that he will probably end up with. It's some sort of Banquet dinner thing...pasta, pepperoni and sausage and cheese sauce.... But, get this... it comes in a box, my friends! Yes! Dehydrated meat! We're moving into the space age here! Woohoo!!!! The idea of dehydrated meat in a box is really not very appealing. It seems like a meal that goes up there with "Helper". Of course, Mr. Hype eats practically anything (Remember "Mikey"?), but I will ask him how lovely it tastes anyhoo...
My boyz have been naughty today... (Boyz being my 2 black cats, Kuroneko Aragorn, and Zeros Legolas :D ) I will post pics as soon as I find out how! ;) They've been knocking over things left and right in the basement, and broke their way into the side of the basement they aren't allowed in... That side being the one with all my decorating, paint, home improvement junk... If Zeros had done that last night, he'd have a red nose from the stuff I painted that he stuck his big ol' cat head in!
Also I ran out of checks today and won't have any until around the weekend... Guess I can't pay bills... AWWWWW!!
I'm generally still illin', so I'm out...

Hotwire My Brain
*sigh... The neurotransmitters in my brain are obviously not communicating with each other. BroInLaw Man calls me back and says of the pics I sent "That's not the furnace, that's the hot water heater!" Well, I know that, but that's what I thought had to be lit. It turns out I have an electronic ignite furnace so if there is a prob w/that, more superheros must be called in. So I call some, and they ask "Did you check your circuit breakers?" duhhhh... No I didn't. I checked and nothing LOOKED flipped, not even a millimeter, but when I flipped it back and forth, the furnace started... DOH!
I then called Gutterman and asked where he was and he said our appt was for 1:00 not 11:00. I was sure he was wrong, but when I checked my calendar, of course he was right. Superheros are more likely to be right than mere ordinary citizens I guess... And I set my alarm to get up in time for that 11:00 appt. I suppose that's a bit pathetic, having to set an alarm to be up by 11:00. I'm usually up by 9:00 these days, but I was damn tired and knew I'd need the alarm. At least it's better than a couple months ago when I'd have to set an alarm for a 2:00pm appt!
Anyhoo... who can I mail my template to so they can do it for me? Nessa? Byrdy? Gaz? Phlegmy? I do want to change colors, font, font size, add links, fix the mood thang... blah blah blah... If for no other reason, do it because you'll get credit in heaven! :D
I believe today will be a day full of long rambling posts... I'm sorta bored right now... procrastinating on things I should do, as usual.
I can't decide what music to listen to. I've been listening to the Screaming Trees, whom I love, but I've been listening to them over and over for a while now... hmm.. What to play, what to play... ah... maybe some Damned. They are one of the greatest bands ever!
And, speaking of music, Mr. Hype and I ordered some speakers, Vegas!, through Sears. We had them delivered to our house 2 different times, and UPS managed to demolish them both times! UPS is kind of evil I think... I have my own "Axis of Evil", which includes UPS, Health Insurance Underwriters, and various other faces of evilness... Anyhoo, the 3rd time we ordered the speakers, we ordered them to be sent to a local Sears, and then if they were in pieces, we wouldn't have to deal with returning them... (These speakers are big enough that we can't get both into one car... very cumbersome.) Mr. Hype went to Sears w/his 'rents and their van, so we wouldn't need two vehicles. When he went to the docks he had them take them out of the boxes. Behold! They were not damaged at all! So he asked how they managed to get them w/out them being ruined. Of course they went and picked them up from the warehouse rather than having UPS deliver them! So anyway, we have some terrific sound in the house now!
More l8r, no doubt! ;D

Frozen Tundra
Still feeling sickly today... oh well, sounds like everyone is...
TY Nessa & Phlegmy for suggesting someone else do my template! That's an idea I can roll with! So... Who wants to do it!? I have to say I really like Nessa's colors. :D
Well, this morning is starting out in a bad way... (trials, travails, tribulations, terror...)
I got up about 1/2 hr ago... It's FREEZING in the house. Just when I'm about to call Mr. Hype and bitch about him turning the heat way down, I realize it's not working! So, I call another superhero, this one is in the family, "Brother-In-Law Man". He's kind of a combo of all the other superheros I previously mentioned. I'm assuming that it's the pilot light, and of course I have no clue where to light it. I'm not some dumb blonde, or brunette, or multi hued hair chick for that matter, but we got a new furnace last year and I don't even know where the pilot light IS! Mr. Hype couldn't get it lit last year and had to call a local company to come in and do it. They of course did, as he said, "exactly the same thing I did, but when they did it, it worked."
::snicker snicker!:: And for their 4 minutes of time, it was nearly $100! ugh! Anyhoo, since all heaters are different, I took pics and sent them to BroInLaw Man, who lives a good 3 hrs. away, so he obviously can't do it for me, and he'll try to direct me over the phone...
Actually, Gutterman should be here in 5 minutes or so, save his Super Gutter Senses fail and he can't find the place... if he makes it here, I'll see if he can do it! :D And I'll actually pay attention and see what he does... I've lit pilot lights before, this is just different. If this can't get done, it will probably be in the 40s in here by the time Mr. Hype gets home, since we only have about 1mm of insulation... I'm sure that will make me irritable...
Also, I'm bidding on a couple of items on e-bay that my sister is selling. Some home interior stuff... At this rate I'm going to get this stuff for a steal! Way cheaper than what she'd sell it directly to me for! I know she's fuming about this! I told her I will bid on more of her online things so I can get them cheaper! She's always selling something. I should sell a lot of my stuff... my clutter could probably net me a small fortune just due to sheer volume! ::rubs hands together greedily::
More l8r... Gutterman isn't here! His Super Gutter Powers certainly don't involve deriving someone's address from a phone #!

Superheros
OK, not much new on the blog-fixing front. Gaz and Flem sent me some urls... Thank you! :D However, the issue is, "where do I put the freaky code to get things in the right part of the page?" It would be nice if the template was shaped like the page and you just stuck the code where you wanted the change. I know it isn't a difficult thing, but it will take me a bit of trial and error to do this I am sure, and some time, so this will be a slow go. And then there is my lack of patience... "I WANT AN OOMPA LOOMPA NOWWWWW!!"
I have no energy to deal with it at the mo, as I have been ill all weekend. I had a lovely dinner of minute rice tonight. It's about all that will stay down I think...
Tomorrow Gutterman comes over at 11:00. He's a local superhero along with City Engineer Man, Basement Waterproofer Man, and some others. Their superhero motto is something like "Keeping Citizens Safe From Engineering Debacles...and Stuff". I keep thinking I never told Gutterman where we live! He'll have to use his Super Gutter Powers to find the place I guess. We still need to get Basement Waterproofer Man over here... I hope we don't need General Contractor Man at any point... he's too expensive. Only City Engineer Man does his job at no (direct) expense to the citizens. Even superheros have to eat I guess, but General Contractor Man eats the best as far as I can tell... I'm a superhero in the same realm as them... I transform into Interior Decorator Woman. However, it isn't that easy as the transformation requires more dead presidents than we have, so I've been in civilian mode for a while. Wow, Interior Decorator Woman's civilian alias really sounds like a schleppy housewife! ugh!
Time to sign off. I think my head may explode and I'm NOT cleaning it up!
A little something I got a kick out of sent to my by The Lizard Lady:
On the ordination of the gay bishop in New Hampshire, the Los Angeles Times comments with tongue in cheek:
"The actions taken by the New Hampshire Episcopalians are an affront to Christians everywhere. I am just thankful that the church's founder, Henry VIII and his wife Catherine of Aragon, his wife Anne Boleyn, his wife Jane Seymour, his wife Anne of Cleves, his wife Katherine Howard, and his wife Catherine Parr are no longer here to suffer through this assault on traditional Christian marriage."

Don't Get Me Started! We'll Be Here All Night!
Purple Haze...is what I see... 'Cause my robe is purple and I'm hazy as I just woke up about 1/2 hr ago. Still wanting to have someone just FIX MY BLOG TO MY SPECS FOR ME! :/ ...Anyone getting the idea I'm impatient? High maintenance in some ways? Anyhoo... I'm thinking Black w/Fuschia background or vice versa... Lucida blackletter... large font but not this large. It'll be OK if it's a little hard on the eyes... Maybe it will keep people awake. I welcome any e-mails w/suggestions from Gaz, Flem, Nessa, Byrdy, or anyone else who can help me! However, no one is probably reading it anyhoo!!! >:/
It will be dull until I get this format/template and junk set up, I am sure. Full of whiney complaints and such. I have received word from Gaz that he'll send me some links w/info and such... At the time Lucy was sitting on his lap eating ice cream :D She's so cute! Not that I'm all maternal or anything... "Aunternal" if there is such a thing... Being an aunt rules!! Stinky diaper time? Hand them off! ;D
Anyway, still half asleep... The smell of my eggo waffle is making me nauseous. I think I'll let it sit an hour and wait for my "medication that keeps me awake daily" to kick in. Life sure has improved in this short time from that stuff.... If only it wasn't $360/month!!! ARGGGH!!! Anyhoo... more on this and that at a l8r date, same vamp channel :D
Just a note... I think there won't be a lot of shmersal eating going on here! Of course I understand being in college and in your teens/twenties, and you live on that and Raman, and as I explained to Flemmy, "Helper". Too po' to afford the burger, I made "Helper" for all my roomies... We all had a bite, threw it into the dog's dish, and the dog wouldn't touch it!
Hopefully I start school (only one class online at first) in January. I only have 24 credits left to finish... 2 classes I seriously put off...Stats and Foundations of Social Research, are the only left in my major/minor, which is Econ major/Urban Studies minor, with a somewhat specialized Urban Economics area in the major. Then there are the "junk" or "crap" classes... electives, humanities... Yes, I recall being just adored *ahem by my Foundations of Aesthetic Experience (What a bizarre class name... like they're going to teach you what looks good to you?!) prof. The first day I believe he decided I was an evil "non artsy" type person. He put up either slides or replicas of two Jackson Pollock paintings side by side in front of the room... He then went around the room and asked each person what they thought the difference was between them. (Remember we're talking Jackson Pollock!) And I remember people saying such things as "Well, there's a much deeper emphasis of emotion in the lower right corner of this one... blah blah..." ::Yeah, you can only see that 'cause you're on acid...:: And the prof was all impressed and when he got to me I told him EXACTLY what I thought, which was word for word this: "It looks like two four year olds slopped on each canvas and I can't tell the difference." Which was what I thought at the time. I think he was in shock and he just glared at me in this "You'll never get a good grade from me!"-style glare. Yippie skippie... humanities...
It's not like I didn't have a ton of everything, it's just that I didn't take the "6-packs" or follow ups for any classes... IE: if you take this, it doesn't count toward required humanities unless you take that... and these are all the classes that are meant to give you a liberal education. I wish I could just take my classes for my major, the two, and be done! I wish I would have gone to an academic advisor and not messed with all the wasteoftimeclassesnotbeinginorderorfollowups and whatnot and such, but even so, I end up w/electives left anyhoo! So I guess it doesn't matter so much... I think I'll just stick to Psych, abnormal psych, blah blah easy-ass A classes and bring up my GPA, which needs bringing up, due to dropping my last semester after the drop date because of severe daily migraines, thus averaging all zeros into my GPA... nice, huh...
Anyway... I'm hoping not to create daily novels... At this point it looks like I've written a lot, but it's the damn format that makes it look that way!!! I do admit... I can go on tangent after tangent forever once I get started... As Scott Thompson once said as a character on "Kids in the Hall": "Don't get me started! We'll be here all night!!!"
...Note... this is too much crap to edit... so please ignore sentence structure/syntax/spelling and any other linguistic issues...
