~Post Dates DON'T Work!~

Well this ticks me off... I post date this stuff and it comes up today... Oh well... Maybe one or two more. I'm getting tired. GUESS THE SONG/BAND:

FIRST:

Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see Armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will cuz
I sure could use a vacation from this

Silly shit, stupid shit...

One great big festering neon distraction,
I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied.

Learn to swim.

Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Mom's comin' round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Learn to swim.

Fuck L Ron Hubbard and
Fuck all his clones.
Fuck all those gun-toting
Hip gangster wannabes.

Learn to swim.

Fuck retro anything.
Fuck your tattoos.
Fuck all you junkies and
Fuck your short memory.

Learn to swim.

Fuck smiley glad-hands
With hidden agendas.
Fuck these dysfunctional,
Insecure actresses.

Learn to swim.

SECOND ONE: (Note: The lyrics to this are interpreted slightly differently all over the place...)

This time I'm taking it away.
I've got a problem, with me getting in the way,
My violent side.
So I take my face and bash it into a mirror.
I won't have to see the pain.
(Bleed, Bleed)

This pain is elevating, as the hurt turns into hating.
Anticipating all the fucked up feelings again.

My hurt inside is fading
This shit's gone way too far.
All this time I've been waiting
No I cannot grieve anymore.
For once inside I'm waking
I'm done, I'm not a whore
You've taken everything and
Oh I cannot give anymore.

Maybe some more later today, but I'm really tired... See ya all in a while! :D

~More Guess~

Post dated blog... I hope it comes up... Some more Guess the Song...

GUESS THE SONG/ARTIST:

You ain't no punk, you punk
You wanna talk about the real junk?
If I ever slip I'll be banned
'Cause I'm your ----------.

Well you can't dig me, you can't dig nothin'
Do you want the real thing or are you just talkin'?
Do you understand?
I'm your ----------.

AND:

I hear your voice
Way down inside
A whispering sea
Of towering trees
But no reply
A silence so rare
And more than I can stand
Sweeps like a flood
Through life's flesh and blood
And steals away with its heart

I expect Gaz to get the first if he checks this out. I don't particularly expect anyone to get the 2nd one. It's one of my favorite songs. :D

~Some Stuff While I'm Offline~

I don't know when I'll be able to get back online, so I'm going to blog today, and blog ahead. I see no one got those two "Guess the Song" thangs... (I'm rather stunned actually!), so I'm going to do some more, but try to put in some songs where each of you may know one or should. I'll try to tailor to you people to some extent. I think most days will be a song I know and love, that maybe you haven't heard, and one that one of you would know... So, I'm going to check that now and go w/the first one:

GUESS THE SONG AND BAND:

And I was walking down the street one day (people running everywhere).
Being pushed and shoved (don't know where to go)
by people trying to beat the clock (don't know where I am)
oh, no I just don't know (can't see past the next step),
I don't know (don't have time to think past the last mile),
I don’t know, (have no time to look around),
And I said, yes I said (just run around, run around and think why)-

NEXT:

Sitting and staring out of the hotel window.
Got a tip they're gonna kick the door in again.
I'd like to get some sleep before I travel,
but if you got a warrant, I guess you're gonna come in.
Busted down on Bourbon Street. Set up like a bowling pin.
Knocked down, it gets to wearing thin, they just won't let you be...

Now I'll try to post date.

~Some "Guess the Song" Stuff~

OK, I'm going to try to start w/lyrics from songs that are either classic, or that even Flem and Byrds should know...

FIRST GUESS THE SONG: OK, I want to see who can name the song, the artist, and maybe the movie made about this man! :D (This got radio play, so I assume you guys know it.... THINK.)

Teddy sniffing glue he was 12 years old
Fell from the roof on East Two-nine
Cathy was 11 when she pulled the plug
On 26 reds and a bottle of wine
Bobby got leukemia, 14 years old
He looked like 65 when he died
He was a friend of mine

OK, song, artist... EASY!!!!

SECOND GUESS THE SONG: This is CLASSIC I mean EVERYONE knows this... Guess the song, the artist, and a big "you rock" if you can name the guy who played guitar and yelled in the background... :

Ooooooh, yeah, ooh, yeah

Everythin', everythin', everythin's gonna be alright this mornin'!
Ooh yeah, whoaw...
Now when I was a young boy, at the age of five...
My mother said I was, gonna be the greatest man alive...

WTF... Give it a shot! I have a feeling that in the future, only Gaz, or no one will have the answers to my music questions. I'm still going to try to come up w/something that everyone has a chance at... at least for a while. The previous two everyone has heard.

My fav bands... too many to list!!! I realized I can not put out a list of bands and albums like Gaz did, because I like too much music, too many genres, etc.

Some that are musts for me are:

The Damned
Grateful Dead
Jazz Butcher
Nirvana
Alice in Chains
David Sylvian
Misfits (Not from the cartoon... the Glenn Danzig Misfits!!!)
Ramones
Chili Peppers
Morphine
Frank Black
Santana

These are at least mostly bands you may have heard of. The others are a bit obscure. Anyhoo... that's the music thang for today.

I will be on a hiatus for about 2 weeks after the 25th. Maybe I'll put up some questions or blog ahead of time, depending on my mood/mode. :D

The Television's Gone... I'm Alone With Lucifer... What A Drag...

It's been a while I guess. Mr. H. found 2 disks full of mp3's that I haven't seen/heard in YEARS! I'm so psyched! I have been jamming to some great stuff! Today's title came from a song by the Afghan Whigs, that I adore and haven't heard in years. It happens to be laced with profanity bigtime... So my mom, who has been staying this weekend, decided it was time to go to church! *snickers* I don't think she liked all the "mutherfuckin' lied to you! blah blah blah" lyrics. Hell, it doesn't matter what they sing with a song that jams like that!

I was thinking of putting in a "Guess the Song" thang in my posts. I'd write out a lyric, and people could guess the song. I think I will do that as soon as I remember how to change things in my template... Or I'll just write it out. The only problem is that a lot of my musical background is way out compared to everyone else's. I'd have to be careful, or no one would have a clue. I wouldn't mind doing a "Guess the Movie", which we used to do in chat about six yrs ago or so. We'd put up a line (semi-well known) from a movie, and people would guess what movie it was from. The problem there for me is the same. The movies I've seen, no one else seems to have... Even if they're very good.... FLEMMY!!! :P For instance, I'm listening to Pailhead... Anyone familiar w/them?

All the exclamations! <--- :P What's not to love right now?! It's a beautiful day, finally warm, but unfortunately, yeah, in WI, we DO run our Air during the day and Heat at night. (That's one of those "You might live in WI" jokes that's a real truth!) That part sucks. Since we're so close to the lake we always get weather a little cooler than inland, but sometimes WAY cooler. Speaking of weather... I haven't read thru my last posts, but I mentioned being certified as a severe weather spotter. I was accepted thru their network. I may have already mentioned that, but I can't recall. I didn't want to backtrack, so if I said it already, I just said it again. It's cool, because I have a site and PW and I can send in spotter info to the National Weather Service and it's investigated... Things like "We're canoeing down the street!" (That happened to a good friend of mine. Their basement flooded to the first floor several years ago and people were canoeing down the street.)

*Musical Interlude*: "LAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" *ahem*

I really missed this stuff... My mom has a best of the older Clapton stuff and she doesn't like it. She only likes the mellower Clapton, so she's giving it to me. I have a list of potential CDs I want to buy... Not sure what though, as I keep listening to my old stuff that I keep finding, so I'm out of the recent music loop. Now, I wish Gaz would read this, because he'd be able to help me out here, maybe Nessa... not sure. I don't know if any of them will read this. Everyone hates long posts. Some help here!

Short list: Audioslave, latest Garbage, Lost Prophets, Weezer (of course... several), Badly Drawn Boy, Type O Negative, Stone Sour, Good Charlotte. Mr. H. and I put on XM last weekend, and I finally heard some newer stuff. (New to me, anyway.) Some of these bands have several cds out and I am not sure which to buy... If anyone can fill me in, please give me your opinion! I love Chris Cornell, so Audioslave is sort of a no-brainer, and Weezer, but the rest I don't know. I feel like I'm sitting in the Dark Ages here listening to all this weird stuff like Big Black... (I doubt any of you know who they are. A bit harsh and I used to play them on my radio show. It doesn't ever get old to me tho!) Now, so much so-called "alternative" isn't... and it sounds the same. Alternative to WHAT?! I probably ranted on this a LOT... ALTERNATIVE TO WHAT?! A GREGORIAN CHANT?! OK! AGREED! >-(

I don't want to make this too long, which is always hard for me. I put down some thoughts and never get to what I've actually been doing. I guess I need to blog more often and make them shorter. Also, I'm trying to get out of my ... habit. I've been doing that practically all my life and it's so grammatically icky... Especially when it's so constant... Like this...

Samurai

You are a Samurai.
You are full of honour and value respect. You
are not really the stereotypical hero, but you
do fight for good. Just in your own way. For
you, it is most certainly okay to kill an evil
person, if it is for justice and peace. You
also don't belive in mourning all the time and
think that once you've hit a bad stage in life
you just have to get up again. It's pointless
to concentrate on emotional pain and better to
just get on with everything. You also are a
down to earth type of person and think before
you act. Impulsive people may annoy you
somewhat.

Kind person
Your wise quote is: "Be kind to unkind people,
they probably need it the most" by
Ashleigh Brilliant.
You try to look beyond apperance, try to give
people second chances and are probably very
kind. Understanding is your biggest personality
trait, and those you can see through should be
grateful. If they aren't already. You detest
narrow minded people, because they can't see
what's really there. Facades are not your thing
and you strive to always be who you really are.

~Here To Stay~

What have I been up to? YIKES!!! Before I get to the hell/heaven part, I'll start with the multi-colored chocolates They were NOT supposed to be that way. I decided last week to eat some of the 7 week old chocolates I made for Val. Day for Mr. H. There were a couple left... the ones that were ugly. Well after eating a few of them, I bit into one *POOF*, a big green puff of smoky dusty stuff came out... Ahhh yes... powdered mold. It was pine green colored. I opened it up and saw stretchy pine green mold and white mold that looked like mint filling, actually. Ummm... YUCK! The odd thing is, they didn't TASTE that bad, however, several molds in several consistencies can, in fact be fatal depending on what molds they are. These had raspberry pie filling in them, and when I was done making them, the chocolate failed to seal completely over the filling, leaving holes for air. That's why I separated them. Of course I didn't refrigerate them either. lol! DOH! Anyway, I'm still alive and kicking. I made a ton of choccy for Easter, but it wasn't old, so no problems. The funny thing is, that prior to this happening, I packed up a ton of different chocolates that I made and put them in Biohazard bags, not knowing that maybe they WERE a biohazard! (These were the new ones, so they weren't, thank GOD! Poisoning Mr. H.'s co-workers wouldn't go over well, I'm sure!)

Other than that... I had my last 1/3 semester of my class to do... in ONE DAY! I did all the reading, lectures (I skipped the last two, 'cause I just was too sick of it by then), notes, studying and exam, pretty much in several hours... By the end I was half psychotic. Again, I finished with one minute left! Get this... I GOT AN A! MY BEST ONE YET! One wrong w/the multiple choice and 100% on my essays! AAACK! Unbelievable!! So I got an A for the class. I don't think I'll ever wait until I only have one day to do a third of a semester ever again. The stress nearly killed me, and for a few days I've been walking on my nerves and freaking out here and there. I'm just starting to decompress now... I'm still not back to normal and need a ton of sleep... It's not that I didn't get enough sleep... It's that I got so stressed my body is wiped out. For about 3 weeks straight starting before Easter, I was pigging out and eating about 3000 calories a day, and I went to the Dr. 2 weeks before Easter and was excited because I gained some weight. I had to go again last week. In that two weeks, WITH ALL THAT PIGGING OUT, I lost 6 lbs.! :-( So I'm trying to put them back on again. I think I'm still walking on my nerves, so I need tons of sleep and mindless nothing for a while... *sings* "Psycho Killer... Qu'est-ce Que c'est... fa fa fa faaaaaaa fa fa fa fa fa faaaa... Run run... run run run awayyyyy...."

So it goes...
