~Shooting ROCKS!~
Yesterday I had my first pistol shooting lesson. It was so much fun! I shot a few different .22s, a .40 and a .45. I just LOVED target shooting. Then I stuck around to watch a competition where all these guys do this deal where you have to shoot the terrorist but not the hostage, and you're timed. It looked like so much fun! Firing a gun accurately is not very easy. I am going to continue with this. Some more shooting next week, a class in July, and hopefully I can join the Rifle and Pistol Club. I wanted to get a 9mm, but the grip is likely far to big for my hands because of the size of the cartridge that goes in the handle. I have a LOT of reading to do also. Each gun is so different, and they all have certain pieces in different places. I'll be shooting some more guns next time. I think I'm going to end up w/a .40. That had the biggest kick of all of them. A 9mm has the same power but less recoil, but I probably can't hold it. That sucks. I'm also cross-eyed dominant, which is rare. My dominant eye is my left eye, but I'm right handed, so I have to block off the left side of the glasses in order to shoot straight! Figures I'd end up doing something wonky like that! So now I'm into the gun thang!

~Airshow and a New Hobby~
This Saturday was pretty cool. We went to that airshow I was talking about. We saw lots of stunt planes, and the newest trainers for the Air Force. We went up in a plane too, but it was a slow, OLD thang. It reminded me of the interior of my old college roommate's 1980 Cavalier. It had ASHTRAYS! We flew around the city for about 20 minutes, but I was WAY disappointed because I wanted to go in something fast. That was a no go. They had Army, Navy, and Airforce planes and pilots, as well as well known stunt pilots. It was a lot of fun to watch. One guy barely made it down, though. As he went up, his WING FLAP on one side fell off, and about 2-3 other pieces of his plane! He did eventually land OK, though. We had to leave before the F-16 formation flight, because we had been there so long, and that was at the end. It was a good thing we did, too, because we were having mega-severe weather and made it home just before things got wicked outside. I really wanted to see the F-16s and the Harrier, but didn't get the chance. My pics turned out bad too, because I don't have a telephoto lens, so a lot of them look like specks in the sky. We also went in this F-16 simulator type thing. It was a lot of fun. Five barrel rolls! Woohoo!!!
And I'm starting a new hobby as of Wednesday. Move over Dirty Harry... I'm starting pistol shooting lessons! Why not, I have the time? I always wanted to learn to shoot, so I'll be doing that on Wed., and then hopefully move on to a course in July that is more advanced. I don't have my own gun, or want one either. I just want to know how to use one for now. I think it will be a lot of fun. Since I can't find anyplace around here that teaches martial arts with katanas... Guns it is! Woohoo... Annie Oakley Me!

~Moronic Cats and Stuff~

Watching: Probably something on TV later. The weather looks bad.
My stupider cat, Kuroneko, made another discovery by experience. I wish I was here to see it. He's super curious, even for a cat and has to have his face in everything. So Mr. H. was doing some laundry and the water was filling up and the soap was in and Kuroneko had to stick his snoot into the washing machine to see what was going on and he slid in. lol! Soapy water and all... Lucky for him he jumped out before it started agitating. heheheh... He's such a moron. The thing is, he'll probably do it again. He doesn't learn by experience. We should have kept him in there and washed him really well. :P
Yesterday my mom came over and planted all these flowers in pots and hanging baskets while I was at an appointment. It looks a lot better this way, except we still have the worst landscaping in the neighborhood. The construction workers left a mess last year and we still have dirt, rocks, plastic, and construction pieces all around the house. It's mostly dirt and some bushes placed too far apart. One of our neighbors just did their front yard landscaping this past weekend and it looks great. It's very similar to what I want to do, which is make a wavy line around the front, instead of just straight across. It'll look way better that way. We probably won't get to that this summer, but I definitely want to clean it up anyway. So we're not keeping up with the Joneses, or anyone else... :P
It looks like the airshow will be out, as we're supposed to have thunderstorms. That sucks. I wanted to fly in something dammit! I was going to at least do the helicopter and plane, (even if it wasn't an F-16). When the Blue Angels would do a short thing on a holiday or something here, years ago, we used to live right ON the lake across the street from where everything took place, and the planes would fly over and about 300 car alarms would go off. Damn that was annoying! In Milwaukee one year, some guy was on the news bitching because they flew so low that the sonic boom broke some windows in his house. That's pretty low... I'd love to have seen it though!!
My mom and I went out for dinner yesterday afternoon and I got veggie stir fry. It was pretty good, and I couldn't believe it, because they had a ton of different amazing cheesecakes and I wasn't hungry for any! I think I've been replaced by an alien. I NEVER pass up chocolate covered chocolate chip cheesecake! They had so many kinds of cheesecake it was unreal. And I didn't even take a piece to go!!! Things that make you go hmmmm....?
